Hi, I’m Justyna.
I am interested in the ways in which people organize information, the ways they perceive organization in different environments and tasks, and the influence these have on individual approaches to information seeking. These interests fall broadly under the headings of classification, information interaction and interactive information retrieval. They also touch on key aspects in information representation, visualization and usability.
It’s a big tent but I’m very excited to be rummaging around in here. It’s sure to start to look more reasonable as it begins filling with tools and other furnishings.
These are the research projects I’m currently involved in:
- the eInforming the Public set of studies on access to Canadian government information, as well as
- the Access to New Media (NEWS) and Next Generation Information Appliances (NGAIA) projects in the GRAND Network of Centres of Excellence.
